Happy Friday!! I made it through the last day of students. It was sad to see my kiddos leave, but I got some great hugs before they left!
I’m glad that today is Friday, however it’s going to be a difficult day. In addition to the fact that I have so much paperwork to get together before I can “check out”, today is my fabulous assistant Marilyn’s last day. She has decided that it is time to retire. Marilyn and I have worked together for the past five years. She is my working “other half”. She has strengths were I have weaknesses. She intuitively does what needs to be done without needing to ask me. She is so great with the children and their families. She listens to my worries and talks me through my day-to-day situations. She adds a special light to the entire building and she will be missed.
For her retirement gift, I put together a basket including “things to do” during retirement. I used the Swirly Bird stamp set and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies from the NEW Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog to make her card, CASEing a card in the catalog.
