Hello Cardinal Card Using Stampin’ Up! Joyful Season Stamp Set

Good morning!  I have a confession to make.  Today was the first time I have stamped since a week ago Sunday, which was during my card class, and it had been a while before that!  I loved getting the opportunity to stamp every day during summer break, but my new reality doesn’t allow so time for it.  My week days are literally jam-packed between 4:00 a.m. and 9-10:00 p.m.   But I’m working hard to improve other areas of my life and I know I will come back to stamping regularly again, because it is truly my therapy.

Today’s share is a card I made using the Stampin’ Up! Joyful Season Stamp Set that is in the Holiday Catalog.  I am not quite ready for winter/Christmas cards, even though I should get in that mode soon so I can create them when I have a chance, so I just made a “hello” card.  Since the cardinal is the state bird of Ohio, I thought this would be cute to send to an out-of-state friend, particularly one who used to live in Ohio.  This bird is great!  It’s a two-step stamp, and he could be any color!  I used some retired ribbon that coordinates, and the gold striped paper is from the card base of the August 2015 Chalk It Up To Love Paper Pumpkin Kit.
